I'm shocked

Alright I was driving home late last night and I couldn't believe what I heard. I was so shocked at what this world is coming to that I had to share this. The radio was airing a commercial  about Paternity Test Tuesday. I went to the website to gather more info for you all and I quote blah blah blah presents... "Paternity Test Tuesday! Not sure who the daddy is? Is most of your paycheck going to child support when that kid doesn’t even look like you? Did your chick cheat, but she swears its your child? KNOW FOR SURE! Wanna free paternity test? Let the nutz foot the bill for you! Brought to you by Chromosomal Labs and The Nutz in the Morning!"
Wow. I can't believe it. They have whole DAYS dedicated to this crap. They will even give you a coupon on the website or take care of the whole bill if you have a good story. Maybe just maybe if people remain pure until they are married the world would not have this problem. Remember is the good old days people were mocked and scorned for doing this. For example, Mary and Joseph, and she actually did nothing wrong.
It just saddens me to think how many people don't have both parents in the home.
I would like to go on by quoting something else : "Children are entitled to birth within the bonds of matrimony, and to be reared by a father and a mother who honor marital vows with complete fidelity."
Wow again. Children are ENTITLED to birth within the bonds of matrimony. What a different world it would be, if everyone lived by the prophets teachings.

Heather 2

So Heather is always getting after me for never posting anything to the blog. I always tell her that it is her thing to keep the blog up to date, but she never agrees. So here I am making my first post to the blog. The reason I am doing so is because of this really cool GPS that I just got. See I seem to have a problem with directions and I am man enough to admit it. I always get turned around pretty easy and finding addresses is practically impossible in Arizona. At work I am constantly visiting customer sites that are located all over AZ and I usually end up printing hundreds of google map pages a month. This frustrates me because I consider myself to be a pretty good driver and I fix computer software and hardware issues daily, but I get turned around easily. When I am home Heather is my guide, I call her my navigator and she does a VERY good job at keeping track of where we are and where we need to go. She really does amaze me at her sense of direction, and honestly I am a little embarrassed that she is so much better at it then me.
Well Costco was having a sale online for the Garmin Nuvi 260 GPS unit and Heather let me spend a portion of our tax return money to buy it. Well after waiting forever for them to ship it and get it to me, I finally have it! I must say that it is really cool! I can simply input the address of where I want to go and it just guides me right to the address. It also has a point of interest finder that helps you locate spots like banks, restaurants, motels, gas stations, etc... It is so quick and easy to use! As most of you know I am a gadget nut so this is just another cool gadget to add to my collection. I also bought a motorcycle mount for it so I can use it on my bike as well! I have named the GPS Heather2 as it my new navigator when Heather's not (and probably when she is) around. So sorry Heather but it looks like the GPS has replaced you as the official navigator.

V-Day

Happy Valentine's Day to all the sweethearts out there. I hope you all had a good day regardless. I have been very busy this weekend with work so we are actually going out tonight(Monday) to celebrate. For those of you that don't know I now work at Olive Garden. It's a new restaurant that just opened on McDowell and Estrella Parkway. I love working there but you can imagine how busy it would be around Valentine's weekend. There was at least an hour wait from open to close.
Brett was so sweet and got me a huge stuff bear that I have been wanting for awhile just to have, and to put in Tori's room. I also got one of the ridiculous Snuggie's (blanket with sleeves) that you see on Television. There so many things I can do now while staying warm.
For example: I can eat breakfast while keeping my arms perfectly warm, play on the computer, hold Tori, Give Brett a hug, answer my phone, text, play a board game. There are so many uses of a Snuggie I just can't believe it. I would suggest that everyone go out right now and invest in one.   The only downside for me is the Brett had implemented a new house rule that I must obey or have the Snuggie forcefully removed from our home; the rule: I am not allowed to bring the Snuggie anywhere in public, not even dark movie theatres. I have no choice but surrender to this new house rule.
Tori got a dancing singing dog that she loves dancing along with.
Brett received some new work pants.
I am so glad that I have a wonderful Valentine : )  Happy Valentine's Day

Learn something new everyday.

I find the saying to be true that you can learn something new everyday.
Well today while watching an educational television show with Tori (Go Diego Go), they kept talking about pink river dolphins. I had to look it up and see if it was true.
Who would have thought there were PINK dolphins.... Not me. AND now you know as well.

The Pink Dolphins are the amazing animals of Amazon region. Of the five fresh water species of Dolphins in the world, the Pink Amazon River Dolphins ( Iniagesffrensis ) are considered to be the most intelligent. They are friendly sensitive mammals with a brain capacity of 40 % larger than that of human. But it has become one of the endangered species due to the accelerated and commercialized rape of Amazon basin. The Pink Dolphins engage in solitary hunting and feeding strategies during the high water season when their prey fishes disperse into the flood plains. At other times they found in small family groups of 5-8 animals which seem to be lead by a dominant adult male. They grow upto 10 feet long and weigh 90 kg. Usually calves can be born between the months of July and September and new born calves are in the length of 75 cm. A unique characteristic of these fishes is the unfused vertebrae in its neck, which allows for the 180 degree head turn. This enables them the easy hunting of their preys.
