1st Sunday

We took Tori to church for the first time this Sunday. Brett was excited to dress her and show her off. (We had a hard time find something for her to wear because she is still too small to fit in all the cute clothes I bought her.) There were three little boys sitting in front of us and they spent the entire time turned around watching Tori. They were in complete amazement of her. It was so cute watching them. She didn't really fuss or anything. She is a really good baby.

1st Photo Shoot

We went and had our first family pictures taken. Our photographer did a really great job. Tori really didn't like being naked and made a mess everywhere. It was quite an event. Here are some of my favorites.

Happy Birthday Tori!!!

She finally came. We are so happy!!! She was born on Jan. 14th at 7:59 am. She weighed 6.6 lbs. and was 19 inches long.

On Sunday we were pretty determined to have her so we wouldn't have to go to work on Monday. We did a ton of walking. I got lots of contractions and walking seemed to make them more productive. So we just kept walking. I bounced around a ton on my yoga ball, ate spicey food, pineapple, took a warm bath. Seriously I tried just about everything I could think of.
But at 10pm it seemed just like every other night and we admitted defeat. We even took some Tylenol PM to help us sleep through the night.
Well... about an hour after we went to sleep I woke up and was had two major contractions. So I packed up the rest of my stuff and woke up Brett to take me to the hospital.
We arrived at the hospital at 12:00am. I was already dilated to a 3 or 4. I got a room pretty fast and by 2am I had an epidural in me. It was heaven! I'm so so glad I had one. I really don't know how people have labor without them. They are wonderful! I believe by 3 or 4am I was dilated to a  9 1/2. I'm not really sure when everything happened.
I do know that they wanted to give me extra medicine so Tori wouldn't get any infections and they wouldn't give me the second dose until 4 hours after the first which would be 6 am.
After all the medicine was in me they said I was okay to have her. Well I guess the Dr. got stuck in traffic cause he didn't get there till about 7:40am. (I don't think he just how quick she would actually come once he got there.) He told me I would probably be pushing for the first hour little did he know that after 4 sets of pushing she was here. It was pretty funny seeing the choas of getting everything ready in such a short amount of time.
She came out totally healthy and happy. Everything went very smoothly.
Now we have a perfect little girl of our own.

Due Date

Well I am due today and still no Victoria. Probably won't be another week I'm thinking. My body is being pretty stubborn. I'm thinking that if I don't have her by next Friday I will get induced. Please pray for me that she will just come naturally (and soon).

Here is what it's like to look down and not be able to see your feet.
9 months and counting.

Christmas

Nana Williams made Victoria this blanket. She did such a great job.
Guitar Hero was a big success this year.
Brett had a ton of fun playing.

Nana Williams loves to Oregan Stop Pizza during Christmas. There is a guy that plays just about any song you want and you get to enjoy pizza as well while you sing along. (just don't request the cat song while Brett is around).

Being sick..

So me and Brett have caught the cold bug that has been going around. Being sick sure does make you miserable. Hot apple cider and baths seem to help a little though. We are kind of happy that Victoria hasn't come yet cause that might give us some time to recover. I have a whole roll of toilet paper at my desk and I can't believe how much of it I have had to use. Even though we are sick we come to work today because we are going to have to take so much time off for when Victoria comes. Brett is actually the real dedicated worker, if he had said he was staying home today you better believe that I would have been right by his side. He is a lot tougher than me.

-Hoping to get better asap.

Brett's Motorcycle

This year Brett has become a true biker. I never would have thought he would like bikes so much. He sold his car and now rides his Honda VTX 1800 everywhere. I don't know how he does it in the cold. It's quite a site to see him put on all the layers in the morning. I should really take a picture of it. We call his bike The Mistress. He has done a ton of work on it and it looks very different from when he first purchased it. I had a blast riding on the back until I got pregnant and it just wasn't a good idea anymore. He has a solo seat now just for him. We always joke how we are going to put a side cart on the motorcycle for Tori so we can go tour around as a family.
I love the lights
