Brother and Sister

I had the chance to take Rachel and Scott's school pictures.
Scott is actually a senior this year. Rachel will be 12 in May and is starting Young Woman's soon. I can't believe they are that old.
My siblings are beautiful aren't they.

Rachel actually let me do her hair all cute for some pictures.
Her hair looks like this everyday.
This is a typical "Rachel" look.

Hair!

I have been having a lot of fun lately playing with Tori's hair.
I found these blogs that post SUPER cute hair do's almost everyday.
I thought at first there was no way I would be able to do any of them to Tori's hair but lo and behold I found some that work for us.

First you must see what I work with most days.
This is her hair in the morning before a bath and styled

These two pictures show what I normal would do it.
Cute on it own but with a little help....
This is one of the first ones we did.

I had originally done this one with two different colored ribbon but she took the other out before I took the picture.

zig-zag

Had to add this picture, just because she is so cute

pull-through crown

Again another picture of her just because she is so cute.

I usually do her hair 1/2 up one day after her bath and then all the way up the next day.
Day 1

Day 2
The front stayed in from the day before so i just added another row.

Criss-cross

Day 1
Day 2.
Yes the ribbon even stayed in all night.

Her hair today.

As you can see I am having a ton of fun with it every morning. And I can't get enough of taking picture of my little girl.
At least one of us looks good everyday.
And yes she just sits there while i do it.

To do these yourself check out these blogs.

They give you step by step instructions on how to do each do.

Enjoy!

Being Creative

I saw these flower wall art things at Target and totally wanted them. However i didn't feel like paying Target prices so I just made my own. I just took all my flowers picture I had taken and put them on a black background. I haven't figured out how I am going to hang them up yet, and will worry about that later. Enjoy! Let me know if you what a copy of any of them.

MacWorld 2010

Now that the olympics are over I can get back to my life and blog about it.
We had the opportunity to go to San Francisco to the MacWorld Expo Convention.
We went the week of Valentines.
My wonderful Mother-in-law watch Tori for us so we could enjoy it by ourselves
the scenery up to San Fran was beautiful.
We got out of the car to eat dinner in San Fran and this is what we saw. I love all these trees and wished we had them here in AZ.
The first day we were there we decided to go to the Expo and see all the new technology coming out.

this only shows maybe 1/4 of the floor at the expo.
We were able to see Best of Show presentation and all the crazy stuff that will be coming out.
Man I didn't have an iPhone and I felt very out of place.
an iPhone can do everything now days.
That evening we walked around Pier 39

We ate at Bubba Gump and enjoyed all sorts of Shrimp.
The next day Brett went to a couple different classes at MacWorld and I traveled around the city taking pictures.
Every morning it was so foggy and could and then 15 minutes after i took this picture you could see the blue sky and the top of the buildings.

I hiked up to the crooked street.
this is the was I had to hike up.
Everything in San Fran is so different than Arizona.
Everything in Arizona is flat and the streets are on some kind of grid.
Streets start and end where ever they feel like it in California.
No one has a front yard either and everything looks like it was built all together and then just painted different colors so you could tell them apart.
This was a completely normal street and then all of a sudden this building was in the middle

The next day we took a boat cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz.
very romantic

We also had time to go and visit the Oakland Temple.
Very pretty building with many pretty flowers.

I took these pictures on my outing by myself.
San Francisco Bay Bridge above
Palace of Fine Arts below

I got bored walking around by myself and feed the pigeons.
we had a great time there but would not want to live there.
you have to pay for parking everywhere you go or take public transportation. both suck.
Especially when you get into Chinatown and everyone packs on to the bus as though it was taking everyone on board to heaven.

We already have our tickets to go again next year!

If you want to know more about the expo and what we saw and learned there you will have to ask Brett.
